In addition to the natural beauty of the Daniel Boone National Forest, the Farm House Inn is near many other scenic attractions.

The Cumberland Falls State Park is about 20 minutes away where you will find rafting, gift shops, and good dining. The Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area is a 45 minute drive. But before you get there, you could spend a great day riding the Big South Fork Scenic Railway at Stearns, visiting the McCreary County Museum at Stearns, and the restored Barthell Mining Camp. The shops in Stearns and Whitley City will delight and tempt the shoppers among you. Junkyard Pottery offers handmade items for everyday use, from utilitarian to decorative and practical pieces ranging from cups to bowls to vases, along with specialty items like candle lamps and kitchen crocks.
